Got the idea from Communication Arts journal.wanted to try painting with few colors. I am trying oil color..this time hopefully it did not dissapoint me..but I am getting more curious..I wanted to try a "water series"

Added the indian lady with the pot..the background color and foreground are inpired by a painting in the journal.

Melancholy-SOLD

I have used adobe to blur the strokes. wanted to try somethin using thick strokes..like the pallete knife.

A morning in spring

Wanted to get the effect or water color using acrylic on canvas.

Journey for water

I love the touristy photos of greece..Usually if you check the net you can find a typical photo of greece with the view of the ocean and pure white buildings. I made the pure white off white actually yellowish by accident. I am planning to redo this again sometime.

An Evening in Greece

Pictures by Priya

Sing me a song of a lad that is gone,
Say, could that lad be I?
Merry of soul he sailed on a day
Over the sea to Skye.

Give me again all that was there,
Give me the sun that shone!
Give me the eyes, give me the soul,
Give me the lad that's gone!

Billow and breeze, islands and seas,
Mountains of rain and sun,
All that was good, all that was fair,
All that was me is gone.

Water color painting of a man carrying a water pot..(Got bored of women carrying water pots
all the time)

Tried another oil painting. I wanted to get the shadows right..Still have not completed the painting..the paint has to dry..

I drew this image of the woman from different images I have seen. The pillow I tried to paint sort of started looking ugly after I painted it dark. Dont ask me if you think what she is holding is not a pillow!

This are few images I painted for art walk. I used the Adobe to do fill color to the images I drew.
I had actually painted using lot of colors but the black and yellow sort of looked elegant.
